Big Ideas Fest!

Called the TED of Education, Big Ideas Fest gathers the leading thinkers and change makers in education for a 4 day summit. This could not be more timely with both the K-12 and the higher education systems coming under intense scrutiny and America’s education falling in the global rankings. CNN’s Fareed Zakaria did a great special recently that compared the U.S. to other countries in terms of education among kids.

Despite the current state of affairs, Big Ideas Fest believes that the answers and innovation are all around us. According to their website, “The event gathers top minds to share their work and ideas in an environment that encourages risk-taking and overall imagining of the impossible.”

We are excited this year to have both our founders participate in this conference through a generous scholarship offered by the Big Ideas Fest team. We hope to meet other leaders committed to increasing college completion, especially among traditionally underserved college students, and build new relationships. If you would like to follow the conference on twitter the hashtag is #bif2011. Additionally, more details about the speakers can be found here.
