Am a CPA exam candidate and will be in the job market searching for CPA jobs by end of 2015. Am interested in tax consultation roles after my CPA. In addiition to CPA, any specific certification/internship which will help me stand out. Any specific pointers for a beginner CPA job-search? TIA for your time

That's great that you are working on your CPA! I would suggest you do work on your resume, and put CPA "in progress" or CPA "candidate". Then start applying or posting your resume on LinkedIn or apply direct to accounting firms - Big 4 or other public acct firms you want to work with. Once you have your CPA, it should be easier to get an offer, but there is no doubt you will get an offer even when you are a CPA candidate :)
First thing first is to make yourself known, apply to accounting staffing agencies, and probably attend networking events. By prayers and hard work, you will get what you ask for :) Good luck! :)
