I am a commercial airline pilot, and flying is a wonderful career as well as a very fun hobby. I highly encourage you to learn more about flying! You are never too young to begin flying lessons and learning about it. The minimum age to solo is 16, and minimum age to get your Private Pilot License is 17.

Check here for flight schools near you: http://www.aopa.org/learntofly/school/index.cfm

AOPA - Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association www.aopa.org is a great resource for learning to fly. They have a lot of information about how to get started, and have a great magazine Flight Training where you can start to learn from reading.

Here are some good FAQ's: http://www.aopa.org/letsgoflying/faqs.html
