I'm actually an aviation maintenance student, taking my 3rd year of school and planning on attending Crimson Technical College. Although the tuition is 37,000$ I figured getting my certificate and working full time would be a great start until I can start working in that field or further my education with a bachelors. I want to know if I'm starting out right, and if there are any scholarships, grants and loans I could receive?

Check out http://amtsociety.org/, and http://pama.org/ for some scholarship opportunities. Also Airbus, GE, Honeywell, Bombardier, Hawker, Boeing, Gulfstream, and several airlines offer scholarships for students studying aircraft maintenance.
And if you are female definitely check out Women in Aviation International, join your local chapter, they offer a bunch of scholarships for women in aviaiton maintenance.
@ Karey Bohmer, wow thanks ! I'll do that now.
