School is what you make of it. I have always appreciated the convenience of Cal Poly because it has allowed me to study while being close to my family. Listen. College isn't cheap, but when comparing tuitions, Cal Poly seems like it's on clearance.
I did both my undergraduate and graduate degrees in the EFL department as an English major. My professors were the best of the best, and the small major felt like a family. The classes were absolutely stellar.
Minus one star because the administration is AWFUL. Good luck and may God be with you if you need to talk to Admissions, Cashiering, the Registrar, etc. Every single quarter there was some huge issue that required hours of phone calls and emails. This was clearly not something I enjoyed doing. The administration REALLLLLY needs to realize that without students, they don't have jobs. Administrative issues ruined a lot of my experience at Cal Poly. Cheers to karma!
