Hi there! Agriculture is an excellent field to go into. The future of the world depends on agriculture so there will be, and currently are, multiple opportunities to work in this industry. I have seen a lot of need for people who know agronomy and soil science. Farmers and retailers need people to help them grow more efficiently, and that means hiring people who know how to take care of the soil and who understand nutrient use efficiency. Also, new technologies are being developed to help apply agronomic principles. Agricultural engineering might be the way for you to go! Personally, I studied agricultural education and communication and now work in public affairs for a trade association that represents the fertilizer industry. All in all, there are ways to work in this field no matter if you are interested in economics, business, engineering, communications, environment, etc.
