Take any technical drafting, drafting, and drawing classes you can. Become familiar with the computer and learning Adobe Suites is always helpful. But the best thing I can advise is go into several firms and talk with them, ask them questions, get a feel for it and see if you can intern there over a summer as a receptionist, helper, or whatever they have. It's great insight and will truly help you understand the profession becuase there are so many different paths and so many different ways to use your architectural skills and I promise you that the way you see yourself applying them today will not be the way you are using them 10 years from now.
