I love marine life. I know everything about it from 2 years of Dolphin research center d-lab. The problem is Im not good at bio or chem but Im good at computers. Its my junior year of high school and Im in AP Computer science (Java Programming. What careers will allow me to spend time with marine animals or teach people about them as well as be on a computer and work with computers? What degree will I need?
I dont want to spend the rest of my life in school. I am in a Prep school and only want 4-6 college years after high school. Hayle, Northeast Pennsylvania resident who doesn't want to go far from home for collage or my career

Hi. It's great that you are enthusiastic about marine life and are proficient in computer science. You may consider working with marine biologists where you can combine your skills with the knowledge of a biologist without having to be an expert in biology or chemistry. Your skills may well complement those of a marine biologist, and this can enable you to work effectively together and learn from each other. A degree in computer science would be advantageous for you, but you may have to relocate to completely enjoy your career since most marine biology work is done in various parts of the world's oceans. I wish you all the best in your studies and career aspirations.
