I'm in my senior year of high school and I have a passion for animals, but vet-med would take much longer than I would be able to withstand. I am looking for a career in the sciences where I can get close to wildlife and study exotic animals. What career can support this?

Procure a job as a vet's assistant, see whether you like it and if so go to school at night. Perhaps the vet would even assist you in payment!
