I can't imagine why anyone would regret success in any field. To me the key is if you are a bookkeeper instead of regretting being a bookkeeper take the knowledge and experience you have gained and move forward using those skills. Why not become a teacher, an accountant, private banker..... there are so many avenues open to someone with experience in "bookkeeping".
