An administrative assistant is providing support to 1 or more individuals. To advance beyond that position, one must demonstrate the ability to address and resolve issues that occur in the business world. Making decisions without always needing to be told, can demonstrate to superiors that you possess decision making skills. Managers often need to motivate and create
team players. Success can not always be measured in monetary goals. Work should provide a
degree of accomplishments which can provide a level of happiness. The business world can often be cruel and unfair. Many times the most skilled person is not given the promotion. One
must demonstrate to superiors that their skills can handle more challenging jobs. After you earn your degree, hopefully you can convince prospective employers, you possess the skills they are seeking.
