If you are currently enrolled in a college it would be helpful for you to get in contact with an alumni relations coordinator. Usually you can find people who have recently graduated and might want to give back to their college by helping out current students. More over you can scope out companies you would want to work for in the future and call their HR or visit their website to check if they have any opportunities that would be feasible. Remember summer isn't the only time you can do internships. Dedicating even five hours to a company locally at you college can make your resume look impressive.
