- Join a professional development organization at a local campus
- Start building your professional network
- Have an internship resume ready (internship resumes typically have a different outline/focus than a professional one)

Contact companies and ask about internships - many offer them.
the more specific you are about your education and career interests, the more likely you will successfully land an internship. There is not a perfect match between careers and education. Companies will hire seemingly strange match ups.
