I'm in my third year of undergraduate school for electrical engineering, and I feel like I have no preparation for industry. I'm a good student, at a well established and accredited university, but I'm not being provided the skills I need to feel confident in my ability to practice outside of academia. I need to find someone to take me in as an apprentice, and give me job-specific training so I will secure my career upon graduation. Where do I start?

First step identify companies that do things that might be of interest to you. Use LinkedIn, Google, and other tools to find out about local companies.
Reach out to Engineering Managers at those companies about your interests, and your desire for an internship.
