The best thing is to tweak your own computer, finding articles online that show you how to fix errors and increase speed and performance on a computer. Stay away from sites that have you download applications as you won't learn much from those, and will more likely download a bunch of spyware. But look for solutions that focus on checking system areas such as deleting unneeded files, tweeking your msconfig file, defragmentation and best practices for optimizing the virtual memory configuration.
