I come alive when I work with children with learning differences, such as ADHD or Autism. My background is in psychology, communication studies and public relations, how do I break into the world of education? Also, how do I find out if it's right for me? Getting a new degree is a big commitment. I am not happy in the field of Sales I am in now. I need to use all this compassion, knowledge and gift with working with people (in a loving, not selling way), and experience I have teaching.

Try getting a substitute teaching license! You can have any degree and get one. All you have to do is take a small exam for your state. So that would give you some great experience. Unfortunately, if you want to be a full time special ed teacher that will require more schooling. Especially in special ed they require a lot of psychology background. But it will be worth it because it sounds like this would be something you love!
