Hi burned out,

Burned out from teaching in a classroom happens. I went through a burned out phase myself. After evaluating my day-to-day activities, I engaged in a more active activity (rock climbing). That seems to do the trick for me because I needed varieties in my daily activity.

In terms of making a transition to administrative side of education, have you tried searching for a job you want? What are the qualifications for such position? Do you meet them all or have some areas on which you need to focus?

If you are teaching at a university level, have you expressed your interest to the dean of the department/supervisor? Taking on a small task/project might be a way to help you gain the experience in order to make a transition.

Best of luck!
