I have had experience working with children from ages 2-12 in an early childhood setting. I've been both a teacher and an administrator. As far as pros and cons go, it's no huge secret that Early Childhood Education is not the most lucrative career choice you can make. However, as cliche as it sounds, if you love what you do, it's worth it. Working with children and helping to shape them during some of their most formative years is so rewarding and there's no real way to describe the pride you feel when you see them blossoming into awesome little people and really beginning to find themselves as they get ready to continue on their journey into elementary school. Also, if you have children of you own, centers are likely to give you a discount on childcare for your own children to help ease some of the financial burden that childcare can cause.
