I have a B.S. in Human Development and an M.Ed in Elementary Education. I originally planned on being a classroom teacher, but I have found that running my own classroom is not the best fit for me. I may be more comfortable in small group or one-on-one settings. I am seeking advice for what careers I am qualified for with my academic background that are not classroom teaching positions. Any advice would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

I wasn't sure whether you wanted out of education or not. If you wish to stay in education, there are specialist positions in which your number of students can be one-on-one or a small number like six. The problem iis that most of these positions probably require further training; e.g., speech pathologist, special education, gifted and talented, counselor, etc. Sometimes you can get a position by being willing to take a class in the discipline; e.g., teacher of the gifted. It depends on the state.
