Have you considered a counseling profession? You could be a school counselor or school psychologist; a Licensed Clinical Social Worker; a Marriage and Family Therapist; a drug and alcohol recovery counselor. The possibilities are endless.

It sounds like any career in thehelping field, would suit you. You want to work with families, so I would say, Mental Health Counselor, or a Peer Education. How about you start by being a mentor and see if you are able to engage families easily. School teachers dont make a lot but their income is appropriate. You are not certain that you would be good at teaching, how about teach a bible class or something small. Either way you have a lot of options to include education, Healthcare, and Mental Health. I hope this help.
