No career pathway is simple and fast, but would say take out loans and get that degree you wanted. If you are sitll interested in Nursing, check out Western Governor University (WGU.edu) and the educate over 1,900 students last year with a BA degree in nursing. The more you delay, the more you will get caught in working for offices that just will run you to the bones without caring for your growth. It's the american way that the top earners make more money usually on the backs of their employees. Get out of that rat race and finish that degree that will lead to high salaries and more time with family.
Good luck to you - hopefully that started to answer your question. ??
