I'm not sure I understand your question. But, I can try to answer it as best as I can. If you're looking to become a criminal investigator, you would want to declare your major under criminal justice. Schooling required is getting a bachelor's degree in criminal justice ensuring you take courses in psychology, sociology, forensics, and crime scene investigation. As a crime scene investigator you must have strong interpersonal skills, reasoning and critical thinking skills. Crime scene investigators usually go through training by working with the FBI, while some agencies usually offer internship training which is usually done while you're in school.
