College is a very important step in moving into a career. It opens doors in the business world. It is important to get or be moving toward your college degree. While you need not have that piece of paper to get a good job, it shows consistent pursuit of continuous growth. However, graduation is called commencement for a reason.
The definition of this is:
an act or instance of commencing; beginning

This means you have started on your lifelong learning experience. Continue your self education for the rest of your life.

Hope this helps and gives you food for thought. I myself worked in The corporate world 16 years before completing my degree. There was a reason for this, in that I really did not know what course of study I wanted to follow. For me it was the right choice. But I really felt I needed to complete my degree to progress further.

There are some well-known examples of people who quit college and did very well (Bill Gates for instance). I've heard Warren Buffet also acknowledge that most of life the real learning happens on one's own; so he advocates going to a less expensive college rather than a top one.

One reason why you may want a college degree is if you know that you won't be an entrepreneur. Most organizations won't hire people who do not have a college degree. In addition, the college environment allows you to create a network before you join the workforce. Good luck with your decision!
