This is a dilemma many students face. In fact, I myself struggled with this choice during my freshman year of college. The best advice I can offer is this: take some time to sit down and thoroughly research each career. Look into every aspect of both jobs, including pay, necessary education/requirements, job availability in your area, projected growth rates, and daily requirements and activities. Then, take this knowledge and write out a Pros and Cons list. Often times the use of visuals assist us in categorizing and taking in all information. If you still cannot decide, look into possible programs in your area that offer a "shadowing" experience. Interview professionals in both fields. Talk with them about all aspects of their careers, both good and bad. More often than not, professionals are willing to take the time to discuss the details with you in order to assist in making a decision! Do not be afraid to reach out and ask questions! Good luck!
