I have a degree in Media Production with a minor in Film Studies. Like you, I love analyzing film and television. If you're a sucker for the art of storytelling, it sounds like a degree in Film Studies or Visual Communications/Arts would be great for you! As far as the job prospects, you can go into art history, art, video, film, etc. Also, you can get a minor or dual-major in Journalism and potentially write for a publication about film or other aspects of entertainment.
My biggest piece of advice is this: Don't let your passion and creativity fizzle out! There are times that classes, professors and family members will make it seem like you're not doing in the right major or that you need to focus on getting a full-time job with benefits because "that's what adulthood is". But that is what kills creativity. Hold onto your dreams and keep them close to your heart. Even if you have to work two part-time jobs to make ends meet while you're pursuing a career in film, at least you can say you're doing whatever you have to do to make your dreams a reality.
Hope this helps!
