HELLO RISING STAR!

I HAVE BEEN IN THE ENTERTAINMENT FIELD SINCE THE AGE OF 3 Y.O. STARTING OUT AS A DANCER/BALLERINA/GYMNAST, ETC. I WAS GOOD AT IT. AT MY AGE NOW, OVER 65, I AM PRESENTLY WORKING AS AN EXTRA AND SOME OTHER COMMERCIAL WORK IN TV AND IN FILM.

MY SUGGESTION WOULD BE TO FIRST FIND A GOOD ACTING COACH AND TAKE SOME COURSES TO DEVELOP YOUR INDIVIDUAL STYLE, YOUR SPEECH, YOUR TIMING, ETC. THEN THE NEXT STEP IS TO CREATE A RESUME. ALTHOUGH YOU MAY NOT HAVE ALL THE FIELDS REQUIRED TO PUT ON A RESUME, THERE ARE ONLINE WEBSITES TO HELP YOU WITH THAT. ONCE YOU HAVE THE RESUME YOU ALSO NEED TO FIND A GOOD PHOTOGRAPHER TO TAKE SOME HEADSHOTS AND SOME ACTION SHOTS WHICH WILL COST YOU AROUND $400-$500. THEN YOU NEED TO ATTACH YOUR RESUME AND HEADSHOT PRINT AND SEND THEM OUT TO ALL THE TALENT AGENCIES IN YOUR AREA. CAVEAT: BE SURE THESE AGENCIES ARE "LICENSED" WITH YOUR STATE (GO ONLINE AND LOOK UP TALENT AGENCIES). IF NOT, THEY ARE NOT RELEGATED TO ANY RULES AND YOU MAY NOT GET PAID ONCE THEY COLLECT A FEE FOR YOU WHEN YOU'VE DONE A PROJECT.

THESE ARE THE PRELIMINARY STEPS. HOPE THIS HELPS.
