First I want to commend you on looking for experience. it is always a good to start to get value by working with someone who knows the industry you are attempting to enter.

In reference to internship, most traditional internships are not paid. You may be offered a stipend for the work that you do. The purpose of the internship is to learn in an environment that is non threatening and where you can grow and develop your skills. I would suggest you take your time and find an internship where you are required to do a maximum of 20 hours per week so you have the flexibility to work a part time job if you want.

Hope this was helpful for you...
