Gaining experience / learning about the stock market is really easy to do on your own without any formal training. I do suggest taking some classes if your school offers it to learn the basics and some of the science so you can understand all the terminology. The best thing for you to do is start studying the markets everyday. Learn what the hot companies/industries are and the current market trends are. I do this personally by listening to bloomberg radio everyday, and reading morningstar articles. If you do not have the basics down (i.e. know how markets work) I suggest picking up a book or going on the internet and learning all of those first. Then maybe make a mock stock account on yahoo and google and start making trades. You don't have to put real money but you can see how your investments go. Maybe one day start putting real money.
