My daughter is currently an engineering major freshman but is not happy. Her real love is art and drawing. She is incredibly talented but wants to major in something that she can get a good job when she gets out of school. She loves the environment and was going to be an environmental engineering major. It is too hard and she is struggling. Wants to switch majors Any suggestions?

She could pursue a degree in environmental design which is offered at various colleges and Fine Art colleges. Perhaps simply transferring to the fine arts program will open her eyes to various careers she can pursue in that realm. I believe college is about exploring and perhaps instead of going into this with an exact career in mind try to take different courses to find what fits best for her talents and strengths. There are many solid career paths one can take from the fine arts sector.
