I have a degree and 18 years of experience in Human Resources Management. I am interested in changing careers to be a Restaurant Manager. Is a degree necessary, or will it still be impossible to break into the industry without experience. Don't want to waste my time or money if a degree in this field will not matter.

Not necessarily. Most people work their ways up to being a manager at restaurants. But i'm sure that with your experience they will probably look into you.
