Being a politician isn't as easy as it seems. When I was 21 years old I decided to run for a state legislative office in the area where I lived. It took a lot of hard work to even receive a nomination let alone running the actual campaign. If you are interested in a career in politics, the best advice I can give is to start broadening your network because buidling relationships is a huge part of being a politician. You may want to start by volunteering on campaigns of candidates you support. This will give you an opportunity to get first hand experience in politics and also help you make connections along the way.
