Typically schools in Europe are MUCH cheaper than anything in the US. One thing you could do is apply to a school with the regular FAFSA in the US, and then go with an exchange program. Then the tuition would be the same as the US with a great experience.

I briefly considered doing grad school online from a US school while living in Europe and working as an English tutor.

But look into school in Germany and other places, it's typically very cheap compared to the US.
