Any degree can work, you just need to make sure you are taking the pre-requisite classes like Biology, Physics, Chemistry (organic and inorganic), etc. Look at the website for whatever dental school you are interested in and they should have a list of required classes you must take.
For example, here are the requirements for my school http://www.dent.umich.edu/admissions/dds/prerequisites-and-requirements-admission

Congratulation!
Well, Bachelor of Science program prepares health care professionals to meet complex demands and may open doors to professional opportunities, particularly for those seeking middle-management and supervisory positions. The allied health professions are distinct from dentistry, optometry, medicine and nursing and encompass a great range of career opportunities, including the following roles: dietitian/nutritionist, EMT, health care administrator, medical assistant, medical transcription, respiratory therapist and physical therapist.
I hope this helps.
