There are quite a few ways to start to explore education opportunities. You might start online.
Look at the department of labor.gov and in particular, careeronestop.org
which is a resource for career exploration, training & jobs
It is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Labor and a partner of the american job center network. There you can find and explore different types of careers and find out whats in demand.
Also look at the big employment job websites to see current openings and what companies that are hiring expect in terms of background experience and in skills.

You definitely would need to narrow down how you want to be involved in the field of education. What age group do you want to work with? Do you like administrative work or would you prefer to teach in front of a classroom?
