Hello,

It is pretty normal thing and common during your first year. I would suggests you to go through all the coursers offered by your school/college. Then think where your focus is more leaning towards (i.e. As Ray already suggested electrical, mechanical or Computer Science or may be history, literature or arts).

What subjects or courses align better wit your likes and hobbies. For example if you like to play with computer and write some programs you are leaning towards Computer Science.

If you are more into reading books of specific subjects such as histories or some music or fashion personalities they you are more into art literature & history.

I would advise you to just think what subjects you like and you don't like (what subjects you enjoy most), based on that you can decide your future interests.

What classes have been of the most interest so far? Can you ask for informational interviews from the various engineering department chairs (electrical, mechanical, computer science, etc.)? Develop a list of questions to ask to try to narrow your views. Does your school offer a "general engineering" program of studies?
