Any and all engineering fields require expertise in math. From my own perspective, Civil engineering is easier as the formulae such as the flow capacity of a pipe are derived emperically as opposed to theoretically. My suggestion is to take calculus in your senior year of High School if you can and take general engineering courses at college fro the first year or so. I started out in Aerospace and it was easy to switch to Civil in my sophomore year of college.
