Go to the, "Occupational Outlook Handbook" at most public libraries.
Enviormental studies is a huge area that as you progress you will need to narrow your interestes, not only to a field, but to a geographical location. Colorado has different needs than West Virgina. It's a great field and I know one person who works in the national parks in Alaska. My nephew is a nuclear engineer who does comminity planning for renewable energy with government subsidies. He is currently building a windmill farm in New Mexico.
