4 years of undergraduate education, 4 years of medical school, and then I believe 3 years of residency. When you are a resident you are getting paid, not a doctors salary but you are still getting paid and not paying for school.

So first undergraduate followed by medical school then residency. I believe pediatrics general residency is 3 years but you may want to do some more research in finding out how long the different subspecialty in pecs would take.
