I'm about to begin my post-baccalaureate studies, as I already possess an M.A., in order to make myself eligible for medical school. In addition to taking the necessary prerequisites and suggested recommended courses, I am also volunteering in a clinical setting, planning to shadow two physicians, attending conferences and hoping to get more involved in medical research. Is there anything further I can be doing in order to make myself a more competitive candidate for medical school? Thank you.

You are doing more than most people. If you find yourself wanting to push further, I suggest you can try to get a publication out of your research experience. If you have any question, feel free to contact me.
