It is very rewarding working with patients as long as it is what you want to do, because the training can be challenging. So find out about you schools pre-med program requirements because you need to complete those before applying to medical schools. Also look into when you need to take MCATs and give yourself 3 to 6 months to prepare. You can major in anything you want as long as your pre-med requirements are fulfilled. Also look into volunteering at the your local hospital or doctors office. Get some research work on your CV. United States Medical schools are competitive. There are also medical schools in the Caribbean Islands, FYI. Good luck in your future endeavors.
