It depends. If you get an Associates of Science in Nursing (ASN), it's about 2 years whereas the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is about 4 years. One option is to get the ASN, start working and then go back for the BSN. Nowadays, hospitals tend to hire BSN grads than ASN grads.
