The first step is going to nursing school. Getting your bachelor's degree in nursing. You are exposed to all sorts of nursing jobs as you are doing your clinicals and it helps you decide what your interest is in nursing. Based on your question, you sound like you would be interested in being an OR nurse first and working in the operating room. Then you can work on getting your masters for the position you ultimately want. Definetly, you would want to pursue your career that avenue if this is what your heart's desire is to be. Hope this helps. :) Only my suggestion. Nursing is building blocks to whatever avenue you desire in the career. You make your own pathways. that's what is so cool about it. So many things, so many opportunities for each personality. :)
