Speaking from a medical point of view, I absolutely love what I do. It is definitely a special field that not everyone is cut out for however, for those people that it is right for, I believe it is the most rewarding profession out there. Getting to know your patient and understanding them and not being afraid to do whatever is necessary to save another's life is what it is all about. learning valuable skills which can only be learned through practice and experience is a rewarding and deep accomplishment. To know if this is the correct career path for you, you have to be willing and motivated to help someone. On that note, be prepared nursing is tough and sometimes heartbreaking, but knowing that you are taking extraordinary measures to save a strangers life is a big reward and many people appreciate it.
