Want free career or academic advice
from a professional?

I am nervous about not getting into an optometry school after i finish my undergrad degree at UCR.

My current major is psychology. When I first enrolled in college I had no idea what I wanted to do in the future (career wise). Now that I decided I want to become an optometrist it seems nearly impossible to get into an optometry school after I graduate. My GPA is at a 2.3 cumulative and I'm already a third year. What would you advice me to do?

Hi, I will advice that you keep on pursuing your psychology career, because optometry profession requires you to go through lot of processes. For example you have to cover subjects like chemistry, physiology, biology as the very first step, these classes will ultimately determine whether you will be able to pursue such career or not. I hope this helps, if you have any comments or concerns, please let me know.
