This really depends on what kind of career that you are looking to pursue. A liberal arts education can be viewed positively if you want to attend law school, work in the public sector, or pursue academia. That said, in the current career landscape, it can be difficult to find a job with a history degree. STEM degrees are more marketable, as they tend to be more challenging and better prepare an individual for the demands of a job. If you look at your college education as an investment of both time and money, I'd recommend pursuing a different degree, as the return on investment is greater for a STEM degree.
