Loved them! They were a lot more hands-on than a lot of other general education classes I took in college. We had one class where we managed an actual restaurant and learned every job (manager, dessert chef, dishwasher, waiter, etc). Another class about beverage management took us on brewery tours, had wine tastings, and learned to make sangria. We even had an architectural class where we had to design a hotel. For people who learn by practicing hands-on work, these classes are a lot more enjoyable.
