Most companies when recruiting interns do not require previous work experience.

Although, any type of experience is a great opportunity of differentiate yourself from other candidates and show competencies that will be assessed in an interview.
Volunteering and participating in activities in your university are great examples of activities you can do that will help you on developing skills and also will make a better resume for early career.
For job searching I recommend 2 main sources: application online: directly in the companies website and also job search websites (as monster, indeed) - do not forget to build a good cover-letter, and Career Fair - specially for those who do not have experience, career fair provide the one-o-one contact with the recruiters that are the best source of contact.
Good luck!
