The Red Cross relies heavily on volunteers to provide services to the community. You may want to sign up as a volunteer at your local chapter to learn more about the organization and explore their different lines of service. This would also give you exposure to speak with and learn from current employees. I recommend that you explore majors in Human Services or possibly Political Science/Public Policy. You may want to pursue an entry-level position at a local government agency (city/county government). If you are a current college student, I encourage you to talk with your counselor about your career goals and discuss available majors. Keep in mind that you can always volunteer your free time with organizations that share your values, etc. regardless of your major.
