Hi Mr Lawrence, I am currently a student at a college in Florida pursuing a degree in computer science.
My passion is software development but I don't have the necessary experience in this field to land a job so my goal for the next year is to get a internship at IBM or Citrix where they have HQ's near to me.
It would be greatly helpful to me if you can guide me on to how to get to this short term goal and also I would appreciate if I can ask you some questions about your career maybe by linked in or mail.
My personal mail is email@example.com.
Thank you for your time.

What steps have you taken in regards to reaching your goal?I can give you a list of steps that have helped me. First off you will need the following:
1. Revamped resume
2. LinkedIn profile
3. AngelList profile
These things will help you prepare for possibly an introduction to networking your way to an internship. As someone who has worked with other tech companies, I do know they do look at your profiles online. The ones I have listed are very important as they are used to precreen you for interviews.
Once you have created these profiles, I would look on LinkedIn for employees who work in the companies you are interested in. It sounds weird, but LinkedIn is the place to meet professionals working in the field you might be gearing to. I know from my own experience it has helped me connect with those I have met. So begin there and I hope it opens you up to those opportunities you are seeking!
