My recommendation would be to go back in to Project management/Project manager. Since you have the experience and the knowledge I think you should be good to go in Project management. Most of the companies do understand if there was any break due to personal reasons and you can explain during your interview process. Also your past switching careers shows that you're willing and hard working person to get into any challenges. This should be reflected in your resume/cover letter and how you've dealt uncertainties and came out successful. Once you're back in to project management you can use that platform to network with people and go into the area of your interest. First step would be go back to Project management would be my sincere advise. Also start networking with your ex-colleagues and friends to seek for any new opportunities.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, Raj
